New Forum Topic: Clans...

  Pretty soon we will have an order for all races . . . GnomishLeaugeofExploratoryInvention, Wanderlusters Forever (Kender), Qualinosti, Reorx's Hammer, blech . . . . very few of these ideas actually get established and contribute in a clan-esque way. I do not support any form of OOC support for them, but am an advocate for all to attempt them in game as it will contribute to roleplay.

Throughout the ages, minotaurs have suffered the whips of the lesser races. We have been beaten and enslaved by dwarves, dominated by foul ogres, and followed meekly at the heels of frail humanity. The Age of Dishonor has ended; let the Honorable rise again, to lead us into a new Dawn of Glory! Together we will walk the land, without fear of dominion. We are not nightmares, used to frighten children.

Well...I was thinking of a more evil empire, but I guess that wouldn't be fair. So I'll try to make my next backstory better then the previous.

Also...

Though a minotaur pirate band is a good idea, I was thinking more along the lines of how Silvanesti was set up. A huge organization which represents a certin race or near there. I guess that would include evil, neutral and good minotaurs as well. Let me give it anouther try. Lets see what I can whoop up this time.


Two questions:

1) would you prefer a story in a first person instead..?

Here's an example...

Rising with fury I jumped on the ogers back, the chains of my shackles coming up around his monstrous neck. My gaging capter, was mostly surprised and tried to exscape, but I had him in a tight hold. The slaves around me, halted in there many chores and turned to watch. Their eyes hopeful, yet held back by fear. I was weak though years of labor in the mines. However, my pure anger, hope, and desperation boiling inside of me overwhelmed the situation as the oger slowly began to choke, his hands franticaly flailing in the air to survive.

The ogre was too late. With a yell of fury and revenge, the other minotaur slaves began to rallie. With only the tools they had been so close to the last years of their lives, the revolt began. The minotaurs, weilding small picks, shovels, and anything their hands could get around of, rushed into the midst. They broke off their chains and iron collars and went into battle against their anceint foes....

Something like that...?

2) If I did get an Immortal to support this, what Immortal would be most likely and willing? Sargas?

I would ask Sirrion or Habbakuk, but Habba is going to busy very soon with my Silvanost plots. Mwahahahahahahahahaha!

In all honesty, a minotaur RP group would have a harder time of it, since all elves are inherently good or neutral. So we don't have to cater to those of Darkness. If you need any help writing, let me know. That's about all I'm good for.

Do it in the game, roleplay your character and things will happen. I've done it before without any OOC, so have others. Immortals will usually not invest until you have proven yourself as a good RP and someone who would be commited to the project. Once again i wish you luck but it seems you are trying a tad too hard on the forum and not hard enough where it counts. In the game.

Well, technically they aren't the first. Perhaps for solace two they are. But remember Order of The Raven back in the day? And then there was something about a Circle or some such at another time.

Perhaps changing the 'you have to be neutral' to be in the warders rule could see some more elves clanned.

Yes, but the point of RP groups is to prove that you don't HAVE to be clanned to have fun, friends, etc. while in Solace.

Just my two cents. Yes, it would be nice if elves were accepted into Warders, but don't hold your breath. They can get into Tower and Solamnia and Entropy, if they like. Three out of however many isn't bad.

It reads Lybreth, the minotaur Emperor, case you have difficulties making out the letters. Also if you look closely at the background on the right side of the siggy, you'll notice the map of the minotaur isles...
